Today at Work

Ok.. I love working construction.  We use our hands and we get dirty, and I mean really dirty.  And at the end of the day I am tired out physically!  That is awesome.  The things I don't like are hearing the cursing, and rain.

One cool thing about the cursing; they all know that Ricky and I are religious and that we just got back from ARISE.  Today one of the guys got on the others for cursing around me and said, "Don't you know these guys are preachers now, you can't be cursing around preachers.." then the other guy says, "They aren't preachers, I don't consider them preacher, now if you want to talk with them they will talk with you but they won't preach."

Oh a little more about this cursing thing.  After Tuesday, being around these guys cursing all the time, I had curse words running through my head.  It was bothering me.  Wednesday morning Ricky prayed for us that the Lord would watch over us and keep us from having to hear all the cursing, because it was bother us.  Low and behold, the Lord put us with one of the guys that doesn't curse and is in remission from stomach cancer, so he is trying hard to quit all his bad things.. so that was a hugh blessing, and we worked with him all day..

Anyways, I slammed my finger today on the cement mixer.  Ricky accidently let the grate down drop on my ring finger of my right hand.  It was hurting all day.  I cut holes in it about four times to let the pressure out and it helped a little..  when I got home I got to do something I have never done before.  I got a straightened paper clip and heated up the end of it till it was red-hot and then stuck it through the nail.  Crazy!

That was my day.. and week.  Praise God for Friends, Family, Life, and experiences!  God bless.

Started Work Today

So I started work today. Got up at 6 in the morning. That was refreshing. Got to the site about 8:05 after picking Ricky up at 7:15 AM. It was a very cold day and the ground was wet. After the frost went away, that is. So, I am very tired, and ready for bed. I like the work and am happy with what I am doing.

Well, I hope that everyone is doing good. May God be with all my ARISE friends, my family, and me....

Amen..

Sabbath School, WOG Study

Starting this weekend, Ricky and I, are going to be having studies with friends, family, and students at the Gym-Masters gym. We will be starting with the WOG study this weekend for a Sabbath School lesson. It is an effort for us to train and show them how to give a Bible study. Plus, to strengthen their faith in the Bible as an authoritative source!

Pray for us.

God bless. I will get pictures and information as this ministry grows.

ARISE Graduation

To My Fellow ARISERE's

Fellow ARISErs,

In short I am missing ARISE. The structure, the people, and basically being in classes. I loved the fact that we could sit through classes and learn so much. And in between we had to wrestle with people to get them back into class. And how we tried to stay faithful to learning and to memorizing our Bible texts! Or even trying to read 200 pages in one night.. for a weeks time (Samuel Pipim).

Even watching the lunch crew live at 1 pm each day and watching the trash and hallways fill up and get dirty as no one could be found cleaning the facilities till Thursday evening. The continual ping of the ping-pong table will echoes in my mind and it makes me wish that time didn't have endings! But I am glad a little, because I would have been on clean-up crew this week. :)

A couple of other things I miss are the Englishmen and JD, discussing the next topic or trying to educate a fellow student. And I really enjoyed the outreach, it was one of my hardest, yet rewarding times. I actually miss seeing my fellow outreach brothers; JD, Laurent, and Billy. The music, the discussions, and a random dinner on a Sunday night during outreach. Good times.

Well, life back at home is not as structured and not as busy, yet. Ricky and I are starting a Sabbath School for the gymnastics team, again. Starting with the Word of God study. There are a lot of students interested in learning how to give studies.

I have to become better at organizing my time. So that could be on your prayer list! :) Anyways, I hope to start working soon too. Next week it looks like. Construction work, ya-yah!

May God lead.
